Kuehne+Nagel Project Logistics Customer Excellence Supervisor (Operation Team Supervisor Air Freights) in Milan, Italy

You will supervise and coordinate an Operational Air Freight Team of 3 people, fully dedicated to the Project Logistics Business Unit of Kuehne+Nagel Italy.

You will leverage your knowledge of the air freight business to manage all the requests and needs of our customers ensuring an impeccable and profitable customer experience.

Your Role

You will lead a team of 3 people, ensuring excellent service and profitability in line with the Kuehne+Nagel policies.

You will be responsible of the P&L and commercial strategy of the team reporting directly to the Customer Excellence Manager based in Genoa.

Your Responsibilities

  • Profit and Loss responsibility for their accounts

  • Identify tasks for centralization and automation and work with the management to implement these into SSC or system

  • Leadership & Management of team members to meet all customer requirements and the full utilization of team members

  • Defining commercial strategy together with the Project Logistics Management team and forecasting any possible growth.

  • Ensure that all Internal Policies and External rules and laws are met, escalating any potential deviation

  • Ensuring and supervising Data Quality 

  • Responsible for the P&L and FSL closures

  • Ensure smooth onboarding of clients and deal with any complaints/queries

  • Monitor operational performance of all suppliers (including HSE compliance) and implement Corrective or preventative actions (and monitor) or/and escalate to management if required

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Forwarding Air Freight Operational and Commercial experience 

  • Leadership attitude 

  • English level - Advanced 

  • Good planning and organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask and to be a self-starter

  • Diplomacy, empathy and clear understanding of other’s needs and points of view

  • Commercial attitude towards External and internal Clients, as well as empathy with External and Internal Stakeholders.
