Our New York branch is looking for a new Head of Integrated Logistics Business Development AMER to join our Integrated Logistics team.

Your Role

You will have the opportunity to build and manage business development pipeline in target markets (countries and verticals) and take ownership of customer engagement cycle from attract phase through pursue phase to close phase. You will be responsible for contracting with customer upon business award and foster a close cooperation with the KN Sales organization and KN BUs Air, Sea, Road and Contract Logistics and with associated Business Managers Additionally, you will have the opportunity to build up know-how within regions how to successfully sell, implement and operate the IL business

Your Responsibilities

  • You will adhere to internal healthcare guidelines, procedures and minimum requirements as defined in Global GxP Policy Healthcare.

  • You are responsible for ensuring training compliance as per defined training matrix (yourself + team, as applicable).

  • You will maintain basic GxP awareness (requirements and applicable guidelines, e.g. WHO GSDP, EU GDP, etc.)

  • You will have the opportunity to support development and delivery of FY specific go-to-market activities in target markets (countries and verticals) in close collaboration with Corp Communication, Corp Marketing as well as Global FY Customer Development team

  • You will support the management of business development opportunities in line with zero failure process, incl. special governance requirements for must-win opportunities

  • You will ensure availability of required resources to support business development cycles

  • You will coordinate creation and delivery of customer specific value proposition leveraging FY standard services, in close collaboration with FY Solution Development

  • You will be ensuring financial KPIs of new customer proposals are in line with FY commercial guideline

  • You will work in close cooperation with senior CL and KAM Sales and IL Solution Development to build up know-how supporting business development process

  • You will represent FY business field towards internal and external stakeholders (incl. strategic partners)

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelors / First University Degree: Logistics

  • Project Management Experience 5 - 10 years

  • International Experience 2 - 5 years

  • Leadership Experience direct + virtual: 5 - 10 years

  • BU / FU: 4PL 2 - 5 years (preferred)

  • BU / FU : Integrated Logistics 2 - 5 years

  • Industry

  • Change Management

  • Strong negotiation and Sales skills

  • Ability to translate market developments into consequences and impacts for the operational process, and translating that into appropriate modifications to existing structures

  • Capability of long-term strategic development as well as short-term acute problem solving

  • Ability to work effectively across geographies and cultures

  • English Advanced

  • Spanish Intermediate (Preferred)

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
