Your Role
IAS provides advanced integration capabilities to exchange data with our Partners. We also drive a specialized platform for integration IOT data providers.
As a Software Engineer, you will be taking part in all relevant steps of designing and creating integrations with our Partners, while improving the platform overall.
You are expected to take part in the whole problems-solving process: from problem analysis to planning & design to actual coding, documenting and testing. For existing solutions, you will be involved in continuous improvement processes by leveraging experiences gained in production.
Your Responsibilities
Writing and implementing effective, secure and maintainable software
Quality assurance: test automation (unit, integration, performance)
Database: design & optimization
Maintenance of build pipelines, related infrastructure and middleware
Software craftsmanship, ensuring inner software quality, readable code, peer-review, pair-programming
Identification of potential for synergies, optimizations and re-factorings
Exchange with stakeholder: solution evaluation & consulting, planning, by gaining insights into business domain (logistics)
Operations & monitoring of delivered services in production
Work closely with other teams to ensure working solutions end-to-end
Your Skills and Experiences
Practical experience in any of Java, Kotlin, Python, Go and motivation to learn other languages
Experience or high motivation in adopting cloud technologies (AWS, Kubernetes/OpenShift)
Has analytical and problem-solving skills and an interest in logistics (experience with these processes is a plus)
Able to work in an agile environment, working directly with partners (experience working with non-technical stakeholders a plus)
Experience in integration (including ETLs, BI, etc) and/or IOT is considered a plus.
Good communicator, both written and spoken.
